I no longer have any idea what normal is. Do you? I suppose I could slip into Harrods one day and see what some people are paying for stuff. What people are they anyway? Silly ones I guess, with more money than sense. But is Harrod’s closing its doors? Going out of business? Not likely! And like everybody else, they have an app for heaven’s sake!

Doing your food shop online has plenty of benefits: you needn’t remove your behind from the couch, there’s far less chance of your stomach dictating what goes in your trolley, it’s all laid out in front of you in a marvellously organised fashion and you can compare items across all the major supermarkets on sites like MySupermarket. All you need is wifi (these Spectrum internet packages might be worth looking at if you’ve just moved into a student flat and need internet asap) and a laptop. Alternatively, you could use a library computer as long as you know the network is secure for checking out.

The phone rings, “What are you doing?” This is code for, “Do you want to shop?” Wanting to change up our thrifting routine this week, we decided to follow our tip #9, visit multiple thrift stores in one shopping trip, they’re usually near each other. Spicing it up even more, we put a 30-minute time limit on each store to see what we could find. We didn’t necessarily look for stuff we wanted to purchase, but focused more on finding things to share with you guys to show you that you can almost always find something at most thrift stores.
